  • ~Grateful~

    Grateful.

    Yes I am.

    So very grateful……..

    For big things and for small things. For some things temporal and some things eternal. Grateful for all of it.

    I have a husband who, the other day, completely humbled me. Does that ever happen to you? Where you are in awe, even just for a minute, of the person you married?

    He felt convicted about something and went to the people involved and apologized. The “something” wasn’t that big a deal, but he said he thought about it all day and wanted to set it straight. What a man.

    He is upright, humble, honest, loyal, hilarious, affectionate, tender-hearted, and top on my list. He’s the guy you would want in your foxhole. -you know what I mean?

    Won’t let you down. Will stick it out no matter what.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    I’m grateful for little feet in little shoes who snag my newly embroidered pillow. *sigh*
    I’m grateful for Legos littering my floor. I bet I’ll miss them when they’re gone.
    I’m GRATEFUL for no school for a week!!!
    ~Reese writes a paper and I doodle~
    ~We ALL need this week off. Really~
    I’m grateful that I can go buy groceries without having to carry a calculator. I’ve been there and could do it again if I had to, but…… yeah, thankful.
    (Besides, four kids in a grocery store require both my hands and occasionally a foot. How could I possibly punch numbers durning all that?)
    I’m grateful for these four little chickens.
    They forgive me when I mess up. They tell me when I don’t make my bed. They hug me spontaneously.
    Avery and I cried watching Kit Kittredge yesterday in the car line at school.
    Then we both got tickled at how ridiculous it was that we were crying over that movie.
    How about you? I would love to know one big thing and one little thing you are grateful for.
  • It’s amazing to have a hubby like that. I constantly feel overly blessed to have found such a great man when it seems the world is lacking them as of late.
    I am thankful for 10 years of marraige(that feels HUGE to me.) And I’m thankful for the ability to nurse my new little one. (really a small thing but again it feels big to me.)
    Yay for weeks free of school!! Rest for mom & littles!
  • wow stacey. feeling tears. and it’s not the power of my hormones at work this time of month. nono. it’s your photos. *beautiful* your words. *also beautiful* *hahaha about legos* *sigh. yes. about new pillows.* and HIS nudges as i looked at and read both.
    i am grateful for that. that is a big thing. and one more BIG thing off the top of my head. HIS recent and very specific affirmation of HIS attention to the details about me. a littlebig thing…what i posted on fb this morning about my shopping cart at walmart. i think it was the first time, maybe my third ever that i had a cart that didn’t sqeak, thumpthumpthump or pull precariously to the left. :)
    happy weekend! <3
  • those four little chicklets are just way too cute! that should be in your list of things you’re grateful for w/ your husband too – that obviously your dna crosses well w/ his and you guys produce beautiful offspring! hee hee. ;)
    i love this post,and just the warm holiday’ish feel to it. although i’ve been in the eat good food mode for awhile now – - just practicing up for the big day actually. :)
    hmm.. things i’m grateful for – that shayne just had a big job come in that will make christmas less stressful.. looks like we won’t need that calculator either! :) and the little thing.. just to be snug and cozy in my little home while the snow dusts the ground outside.
    happy weekend dear. love ya.
  • @babybreathblossoms - Your “little” thing is not so little! Those things are the simplest but the biggest blessings! Hope your Thanksgiving is wonderful!
  • @down_onthefarm - I would like to think I’m making progress with not sweating the small stuff. Like with the pillow incident, I bit my tongue then wondered why any of us mothers with youngins spend any real effort or money decorating! :-o it’s a house and we LIVE here! Not to say we can’t have things pretty-but LIFE is way more important than pretty. happy weekend to you too!!
  • @Hutch5 - I love your little…ands your big! A cozy house with a little snow this Friday night sounds perfect. Not to mention a den that looks amazing…wish I had a fraction of your creative leaning. BTW, I loves that you know how to rope Shayne into helpIng, REALLY helping figure out how stuff should go! You just need two sets of eyes for that stuff.
    So happy for a not so stressful Christmas this year. What a blessing. Speaking of all things Christmas, if you don’t already have it, download Amy Grant’s “I Need A Silent Night” and Casting Crowns “Sweet Little Jesus Boy” Those songs take away just about any trace of Christmas stress.
    Love you!
  • Well, sweet friend…I am thankful for you, your husband and your precious little ones too! The special places that each member of the Wall family takes up resident in our hearts is high on our “thankful” list this year. Love you!
  • had to smile about the kids telling you when you don’t make your bed. :)
    I’ve been in the good eats mood as well. It’s so hard to bake and not want to eat it all :)
    my big thing is family coming to visit. and my little thing is thankful for friends who encourage me on the journey of life :)
  • @redladybug18 - Hope your Thanksgiving is wonderful!! I bet your food is REALLY good!
