  • ~8 Shameless Confessions~

    1. I actually ate a gripz cracker off the floor because I had JUST sat down after cleaning/picking up for 40 minutes. It was 9:15 at night. I simply refused to get up and go to the trash can.

    2. I don’t wash my face every single night.  Sometimes I’m just too tired.

    3. I played a game this last month called, “Spend as little as you can. See how little you can swipe that card”. It worked!! Crazy savings. Brad was so proud. (He wants me to keep playing that game)

    4. I routinely have at least one laundry basket full of clothes and mis-matched socks that need to be folded and put away.

    5. If I get sick of seeing something out of place long enough, I have been known to throw it away. I can only look at something so long and I refuse to pick it up if someone else has been told to repeatedly.

    6. Shopping almost always stresses me out. It’s not recreational unless I have no agenda….nothing I’m looking for…..

    7. My 6 year old, in school, recently wrote for a teacher, “My Mom loves to watch t.v. and loves to nap.” Seriously? I mean, is that what they think I do?? I rarely nap, (though, if I could, I would….ain’t gonna lie about that), and I only ever watch t.v. when they are going to bed!! *sigh* oh well……nothing like a child to kill whatever pride you have left…..

    8. I LOATHE “getting dressed”. You know. The shower, the shaving, the drying hair, the FIXING hair, the makeup, the picking out/ironing clothes……HATE all that. (Yes I do it. Just think it takes too long)

Very thankful for a good week, for the beginning of autumn, and for it being Friday. I have a date tonight. That’s always a good thing.

    Hope your weekend is wonderful.

  • you sound about like me!!! except the whole “spend as little as you can game” and i don’t have a six year old!!!
    enjoy your date!!!

  • are you my twin?? ;) )

  • I am SO with you on 5. I throw something away and think “I never have to pick that up again”. :)

  • That was fun to read about. #7 is the funniest. I am sure it is because all mom’s are a bit sleep deprived

  • this is seriously funny. :) especially number 7 says a similiarly humbled/humiliated mom!

  • #2 yes, I rarely actually wash my face at night and I guess it goes along with #8 since I totally wish I never had to take a shower/wash hair etc. because it just takes too much time. :)

  • 1) Did it

2)Me either, and I always regret it and say I’ll never do it again but then the next night…same thing =)

3)How much CAN you put on the card? Just out of curiously…

4)My socks never match.anymore. I think washing machines eat my colorful socks :(

    5)me too

    6) me too

    7) My 5 year old brother routinely tells everyone his Mom and Dad’s job is to yell at each other, cook, and kiss all over the place.

    8) me too !
    HAPPY AUTUMN!

  • @grace_to_be - maybe so! but hey, I’ll settle for neighbor. Wanna move south?? pretty please?

  • @Want2FitIn2Fat2Fit - #2: WAY MORE than you need! Contentment is a critical life lesson!! just checked out some of your blog….enjoyed my little visit!

  • This was AW, SO cute! What makes children dilusional (can’t spell that one) about what their mothers do??? I can relate to some of these. Empty Nest has changed me, so now I don’t mind spending time making sure the hair and makeup are just so, although I never bother with foundation. ew. Shopping used to be fun. Now, I don’t really like it, no matter what I’m needing to buy. Food gets eaten and that’s money down the drain right away. Clothes…I love clothes but they don’t love me. If I was 20 pounds thinner and had a wad of money, I could shop at Talbot’s Petites. I do like your game of swiping the card as little as possible. I only BEGAN swiping the card last year (too embarassed about not remembering the pin number. Now, I just pretty much use cash. That way I can keep track of how much is going where.

  • @ToLiveLoved - oh, yes please! atleast for the next 6 months.. till spring. ;)
