  • Wordy Wednesday….or Friday. Whatever.

I just couldn’t wait till Wednesday.

Who knew we had an Urban Dictionary?!
These ought to get your weekend started right.

One of my husband’s favorite words:
    1. ridonculous

adj. something that is so extremely ridiculous that one can’t comprehend the full ridiculousness of it.

    2. strategery

Used in a SNL skit parodying the 2000 presidential debates in which George W. Bush (played by Will Ferrell) uses the word to summarize his campaign. The term satirizes Bush’s propensity for mispronunciation.

<Question: “In your own words, please summarize your presidential campaign.
    Bush: “strategery.”>

    3. tiger’s wife mad

the act of being so angry at someone that you find the item they cherish most and beat them with it.  <Chris was so tiger’s wife mad at Joe that he grabbed Joe’s Wii remote and beat him with it.>

    Have a GReaT weekend!

  • These are great.  I like ridonculous, I’m planning on trying it out today! =)

  • I’ve heard of ridonculous, but not the other words! My valves grind a bit when I hear people saying “pastorial” when it is pastoral. That’s just my personal peeve. But, now that most of the English I hear is spoken by those to whom it is a second language, I am much less picky. I hope people are equally as merciful when I speak Danish!

  • ridonculous is a favorite word with a few fellows we know. It is rather a funny and good way to describe the absurd!
